When I was at Illinois, the "Dump the Chief" camp consisted of American Indians and dedicated PC groups demanding his ouster, and the "Save the Chief" crowd generally consisted of a bunch of frat boys telling the Indians that they weren't being insulted. To me, telling insulted people that they aren't being insulted didn't make too much sense. Trying not to get WAY off the topic, but …
