So this is the ‘new and improved’ Kerry Wood.
I can see how the surgery, time off and AAA time have helped him hone his closing skills…
not.

Patience, patience, Mr. Day. Though it’s Wood’s 11th year in the majors, it’s only his second month as a closer. Let’s see if, after doing it for the third time, he’s learned NOT to hit the leadoff hitter.
