Crestfallen

The American League’s 15-inning, 4-3 victory Wednesday morning in the All-Star Game ended a dream for me: Kerry Wood striking out Jermaine Dye to finish Game 4, and the Series, in the middle of Bridgeport’s U.S. Cellular Field on a crisp autumn evening.
Now I’ll have to settle for the Cubs clinching the series either in Game 4 or 5 at Wrigley, with 41,000 in the stands and 410.000 on the streets of Clark, Addison, Waveland and Sheffield.
At least the Midsummer Classic’s result helped solidify the Cubs Fall Classic rotation: Zambrano and Harden for Games 1 and 2, respectively, and Ryan Dempster getting the Game 3 nod.
(… or am I jumping the gun a bit?)Â
