An important week

Sure, there’s a lot of baseball yet to be played, but I think this is the week the Cubs can bury the Astros and put plenty of daylight between themselves and the Cardinals.
The pesky Astros took two out of three from the Cubs in Houston after the All-Star break. A sweep might be asking too much, but I’d love to see it and have the Cubs push the Astros back toward Cincy and Pittsburgh.
The Cardinals keep hanging around. Can’t count them out. They know how to play and Tony LaRussa knows which buttons to push.
I’d like to see the Cubs wrap this up early. I don’t think my heart can take it if we go into the last two weeks of the year against the Cardinals, Mets and Brewers and it’s a tight race.
