A co-worker thought it was the kiss of death when Fox announcer Dick Stockton highlighted Carlos Zambrano’s 6-0 mark this season at Wrigley Field and St. Louis third baseman Troy Glaus’ 0-for-29 entering Saturday’s game.
Two homers, five RBIs and one Lou Piniella call to the pen later, the Cubs are going to really need to rally to keep Big Z perfect at Clark and Addison.
Of course, I thought it was the kiss of death when I heard Dick Stockton was announcing the game.
