‘Determine a C-Notes contest’ contest

1 comment August 31st, 2008

Like Jennie Pollock in the Go Green blog, I, too, want to share the wealth and bounty with loyal visitors.

But what would be fair? The 10th poster to this entry? A slogan contest? An essay competition? Rock-paper-scissors?

I’m baffled. So, to debafflize, I turn the contest duties over to you. Come up with the ideal contest, and you can win an official shot glass from the Cubby Bear!

prize

This esteemed prize, never used for its intended purpose in life, is from the renowned Garcia Shot Glass Collection, soon to be part of a major exhibit at the Smithsonian’s new branch office in Tuscola.

One entry please. The winner will be chosen Sept. 6. Creativity is encouraged. Entries from the Bridgeport faithful also are welcome, but if they’re too snarky toward Cubs fans, they probably won’t win. The decision of the judge is final.

Bill Buckner (1977-84) and Mark Prior (2002-06) are probably the North Siders most associated with the Double Deuce, but other notables include Billy Hatcher (1984-85), Jerry Mumphrey (1986-88), Mike Harkey (1990-93) and Rondell White(2000-01).

22

Amazing. I didn’t get a chance to update the list this weekend, and the number has not moved in the past two days with the Cubs’ defeats coupled with the Brewers’ victories. I do not claim to possess total control over time and space; just most of it.
