Today’s Cubs player of the day…

…or former Cubs player of the day, is Corey Patterson for turning a Cubs loss into a Cubs gain.
After the Cubs blew a 3-run lead to St. Louis tonight, Patterson doubled and scored the game-winning run in the 11th inning to help Cincinnati beat NL Central leader-wannabe Milwaukee.
It may have taken Patterson three years removed from Chicago, but he has finally benefited the Cubs. And, of course, a small thanks should go to ”In Dusty We Trusty” for never getting over his man-crush on the .202 hitter.
