He's going to want a 3 year deal. I'm not sure if the Cubs want to make that investment. But we love Kerry. He has made personal sacrifices to stay with the team. Cubs management does owe it to him. I'm not sold on Dempster. Jake Peavy may be available in a trade, heck we could pay Sabbathia a ton a loot, provided he doesn't goto the Yankees. Agreed with Derrek Lee. He's winding down. Perhaps we could get Adrian Gonzales from the Padres??? Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with Soriano for another year. His overall numbers are fantastic, but he just annoys the Hell out of me. This whole leadoff thing probably won't go away next year either. I actually think Fukodome will do better next year. I see him in a platoon role with Reed Johnson. Pie will be our CF next year. Its time for him to prove those minor league stats are not a fluke. I think the Cubs top priority should be SS. I love Theriot, but he's just too much of a defensive liability.
