The Mosaic Student Film Festival will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Rockford Theater at Rockford Woman’s Club, 317 Park Ave., Rockford.
Tickets cost $5 and are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Rockford Rescue Mission.
Films include a thriller about a beach house vacation, a story about brothers dealing with the loss of their father and a documentary about the wonders of a roller coaster.

This is going to be a very well put together event to showcase some bright, young talent in the area. I hope RR Star has someone covering this festival… it’s rare to see young people doing something positive to affect their community and provide quality entertainment while doing so, they should be highlighted for their efforts. The organizer of the event is expecting 200-300 attendees.
