Miss Wisconsin USA 2009 will host WREX morning news show

Alexandra “Alex” Wehrley, Miss Wisconsin USA 2009, will start hosting 13 News Today on WREX in February, although the date has not yet been set when she will first appear on the air.

She joins meteorologist Aaron Brackett on the show that runs from 5 to 7 a.m. weekday mornings.

Wehrley holds a degree in communication arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After an internship with the NBC television station in Madison, Wehrley worked in the Milwaukee area with her mother as a public speaker and motivational consultant.

I wish Ms Wehrley the best of luck. Laura Gibbs will be a tough act to follow. She was the best, and most professional woman newscaster in the Rockford area.
