wednesday: only one thing to buy

… and it was salsa. i realized that i took the salsa for my chimichanga recipe in to work for lunch but needed it for supper. whew. it comes in a glass container! and is available at a gas station!

    Sorry to burst your bubble. Look at the seal under the metal lid of your salsa jar. There is also a good chance that the metal itself has a thin coating of plastic to prevent the acid in the salsa from corroding the steel lid.
    While you are at it, do not forget that every cardboard carton that contains milk, juice etc. is lined with polyethylene.

    Andrew beat me to it- The seal on the underside of the lid is plastic, as is the adhesive holding the label onto the jar. Also, the paint on the lid.
