Rockford Woman editor Jennie Pollock knows that we’re not going to transform our lifestyles overnight, but she looks for ways big and mostly small to protect our planet. Read about her experiences (she’s tried giving up plastic and meat, for example) and share your possible solutions here.

Thanks!
It's amazing how rumors get started and then, like Topsy, just get growed.

i was getting to that.

i just called: yes, they ask that we take the caps off the plastic as a courtesy because it makes the bottles easier to crush, therefore saving space. but it is not mandatory. didn't know that!

I had gone there before I wrote the previous. Their site contains nothing specific to either prove or disprove the rumor.
You've got more pull than I. Give 'em a call and ask.

It certainly wasn't that green at Ingersoll Centenial Park after the fireworks. The ammount of trash left where it lay was obscene. The citizens of this town should be ashamed of themselves.

On another note.
I heard a rumor that RRDisposal does not recycle plastic bottles with the caps still attached. Any truth to this??
