“green” wine!
A week from today (May 13), from 5 to 8 p.m., you can taste organic wine (and beer and vodka) at Artale Wine, 6876 Spring Creek Road in Rockford.
The fundraiser for Green Communities Coalition costs $10, and you also can sample food from Pearl.

Side note 1: It’s hard to believe I tried Mont St. John’s organic wine in 1998 in Napa Valley … before organic was big. It was quite good, if I remember correctly.

If you’re cleaning out the closets, remember that Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful will hold a clothing drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

This month’s metals drive was also a success.
