Going green in the neighborhood

Add comment May 11th, 2009

When we go for a walk, my kids take littering serious. If we see a can or a piece of garbage, they MAKE me pick it up.

Neighborhood Network is sponsoring “Going Green:  How to make your neighborhood more environmentally friendly and save energy” at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Rockford City Hall, 425 E. State.

The city is offering up two of its staffers as speakers: Mark Bixby, Director, Energy Division, and Brian Eber, Green Team Coordinator.

Anyone is welcome to attend; free gifts will be given while supplies last.
