… What does going green mean to your business? How can you lower your costs?
Attend the Rockford Chamber of Commerce’s June Breakfast Buzz from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Woodward Technology Center at Rock Valley College. The event will feature a panel discussion with Patti Thayer, Thayer Lighting Inc.; Jeff Stewart, Trekk Cross-Media Communications; and Mary Hallock, IMEC. You’ll learn how to lower business costs by reducing waste and energy, using your “waste” for good and taking advantage of rebate programs.

Cost is $10 for members (includes breakfast), $20 for nonmembers. Register here or call 815-987-8100.

P.S. Patti was at a chamber event this week where we calculated the cost savings of using better light bulbs, so I got a taste of what’s to come. And I have interviewed Mary before.

P.P.S. The chamber’s July issue of the Voice will be a green one, including an article about RVC’s LEED-certified building under construction.
