‘One Year & 100 Miles of Eating Locally’

That’s the title of the University of Illinois Extension presentation by Lenae Weichel and her husband, Kevin Holdmann from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Extension office, 1925 S. Meridian Road, Rockford.

Our Rockford Garden Club, Seedlings, is celebrating its 60 Anniversary - yes - 60 yrs old. We’re emphasizine eating well and eating local by having our event at Octane on Monday, Nov. 16 with special menu dedicated to locally grown food. Andrea Hazzard is our speakcer to also encourage our usage of organic and healthy eathing. All are invited to this event - $25 includes meal and program.
