If you’re interested in learning about the recently renovated Physical Education Center at Rock Valley College, the Rockford/Northern Illinois branch of the U.S. Green Building Council will offer a presentation and tour from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The building on the main campus at 3301 N. Mulford in Rockfor is seeking gold LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
According to the news release, the night will cover recycling initiatives, sustainability and an overview of the project by Saavedra Gehlhausen Architects.
Cost is $10 for USGBC members, $20 for nonmembers. Pay at the door or online.
