Farmers Market Regional Forum Coming To Rockford

In recent years, the University of Illinois Extension and the Illinois Department of Agriculture have hosted Farmers Market Forums around the state each spring. This year, one of these Forums will be held in Rockford on Thursday, March 22. The event will be held at Midway Village Center, 6799 Guildford Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

The event is an opportunity for farmers market managers and vendors to come together to learn and share best practices for a successful farmers market.

Thanking Some Unsung Food Heroes

It’s that time of year when many of us get a 4-day retreat from work – Thanksgiving. In honor of this holiday I would like to thank some people who work extremely hard to make sure some folks in our region have food on their table.
