Gov. Blago is on a roll with promoting his free-rides-for-seniors plan.
On Wednesday, Blago plans a promotional event in Chicago to highlight all the good cheer he witnessed during — Ta Dah! — his recent series of promotional events. From Blago’s press release:
Governor Rod R. Blagojevich will talk about the overwhelming response in the last few days from Illinois senior citizens eager to have access to free public transportation, and will remind seniors that they can now pre-register for free transit service that will start in mid March by calling a toll-free number or going online to www.illinois.gov/transit
Translation: The governor hasn’t yet succeeded in getting most everybody to forget about the fact that he’s reneging on his no-new-taxes pledge, so he and his staff will continue to beat the drum over his free-rides-for-seniors plan.
Just remember folks, you’re paying for it all.
