In Chambers
The judge will see you now. Step into Springfield Bureau Chief Aaron Chambers’ chambers for an insider’s view on Illinois politics and government. No, Chambers isn’t a real judge. At least not in the sense of wearing a robe, wielding a gavel and issuing orders. But like a good judge, Chambers tells it like it is.

Monday Morning Funnies, Part 3

April 7th, 2008 at 06:00am Andrea Zimmermann

Well, after ignoring weeks of calls from the media, her Democratic opponent and pundits, Hillary Clinton released her tax returns on late Friday afternoon.

Some were hoping these returns would be filled with political landmines for the Clintons, but it seems the dynamic duo gave a lot of speeches and wrote a few books and as a result, have amassed $109 million. This puts them among the top 14,500 wealthiest people in the nation, according to the New York Times story.

The fact that Clinton released these documents at 4 p.m. Friday did not make it too late for Saturday Night Live to capitalize on the seemingly anti-climatic revelation.

In case you missed it, watch it here.

Andrea, the Clintons were quite generous, giving $10.2 million to charity.

That is quite generous, but you know the Clintons are not ones to give up control of any money they can get control of — whether it is the taxpayers or their own. That is why they gave most of that money, about $6 million to their own charitable foundation.

awesome SNL clip…basically…there’s one lesson to be learned…taking a trip for 8-years to the White House makes you profitable afterward…it’s the post-presidency after-glow. Hillary and Bill were only “upper-middle” class with over $400K coming into the White House and they made bank off of it placing them in the wealthiest bracket in the nation. They’ve tried to make a second run at making bank…but this time Obaminator has killed that chance.
