The Rockford Park District now has nine candidates for the open position of commissioner.
Jovita Donahue, Lori McEntee and Marjorie Veitch submitted applications today.
Donahue, 38, of Loves Park is a development specialist for the City of Rockford.
McEntee, 56, recently retired from the Rockford School District. She was a physical education teacher at Guilford High School for the past 10 years. She was also the adapted physical education coordinator for the district’s secondary level.
McEntee has recently led a campaign to rename Sportscore I after Bob Papich. Read more about that HERE.
Veitch served as co-chair for Citizens Rebuilding Rockford. She has previously run for both Winnebago County Board and was one of 35 candidates that sought a spot on the new Forest Preserve Board.
