Winnebago County Board candidate Rick Davis responded to the objection to his petition this morning by providing a copy of his voter registration card to prove he lives where he says he does.
F. Duane Ingram objected to Davis’ nominating petitions. The objection claims that Davis falsely indicated he lives in Caledonia, when he lives in Loves Park.
Davis wrote on his nominating petitions that he lives at 4867 Powderhorn Place, Caledonia. Ingram objects saying that address should be Loves Park.
You can see Davis’ voter registration card HERE. It lists his address as Caledonia.
UPDATE: You can see a jurisdictional map of the city of Loves Park on its website HERE. It shows the address is within the incorporated Loves Park boundaries.
Davis is running for a District 7 seat on the Winnebago County Board against incumbent Gary Jury.
You can read HERE about the 11 objections filed to nominating petitions, including one filed against Davis.

Postal ZIP codes commonly cross municipal jurisdictions. For example, the Rockton Walmart has a Roscoe mailing address.
What I find interesting about this whole challenge crap is that Davis is challenged because he listed Caledonia instead of Loves Park, while Frank Gambino is ok to run for the 34th when he doesn’t even live within the District.
Good point about ZIP codes Milton,
The jurisdictional map the city of Loves Park has on its website shows the property is within the city. His property is also listed as part of the city of Loves Park’s taxing district on his property tax bill — though the city doesn’t actually levy a property tax.
The objector argues that Davis provided his mailing address — Caledonia — but was required to provide his residence — Loves Park.
It will be interesting to see what the board decides.
In my defense if I would have put Loves Park they would have claimed I live in Calidonia. I am a realtor and I know what city I live in. I cannot help that the other person running is worried so bad that he could loose they sink this low to say I do not even live in my own house. First they should check there information and then I am saying you should get your attorney now. Rick Davis
