Michelangelo Revisited: The Art of Technology

This is an interesting application of technology to art. I’ve seen this exhibit earlier this year and it was fascinating. Here is the workshop information….
As two worlds collide, artistic expression is exuded into an ingenious, technical aura. EIGERlab, the region’s Technology Commercialization Center , introduces a fascinating exploration of rapid prototyping processes sculpted through desired crafts. On October 10-12, 2008, art will enter the realms of innovation through a hands-on workshop that will utilize five different rapid prototyping techniques. Students will be guided through all five methods and acquire the mastery of creation, replication, production, and restoration of their finessed designs.  The workshop is appropriate for the artist or curator, novice or student with an artistic influence and desire. For more information, visit   http://www.eigerlab.org/news.htm.
