Ford Plan Looks Good to Me

 The plan submitted today by Ford to the Senate Finance Committee looks like a doable plan that has already been started with actions earlier this year. One element that I like is that their request for $9 billion is a “line of credit” backstop loan. Their liquidity is much better than GM’s or Chrysler’s so they would only use federal money if the downturn is deeper and longer that is expected.

Also, the CEO is driving to Washington and has agreed to a $1/year salary! This makes interesting reading so you might enjoy this 33 report.
