I guess my interpretation of “bobble up and down” is different from what I heard the other day. To me this looks like a slide. The problem is, many, many folks are dependent for their retirement on the health of their 401K’s and other financial instruments.

The National Association of Manufacturers released their Agenda for the 111th Congress.
“Manufacturers employ nearly 13 million workers and contribute more than $1.6 trillion to the U.S. economy each year. Manufacturing is the largest driver of economic growth and accounts for the lion’s share of private sector research and development.”
The vitality of U.S. manufacturing cannot be taken for granted. “It requires hard work and smart policies to keep U.S. manufacturing competitive in the global marketplace. The basic challenge is to retain and create jobs. A strong manufacturing sector is vital to meeting this challenge.”
The elements of their agenda include:
Tax, Growth and Economic Competitiveness; Transportation and Infrastructure; Employment and Labor Policy; Health Care; Education in America; Technology; Legal Policy; Domestic Energy Policy and U.S. Competitiveness; Environmental Policy; Fair Trade for America’s Manufacturers; Regulation; The Future is Now. The Senate voted overwhelmingly to preserve thousands of earmarks in a $410 billion spending bill on Tuesday…I sure hope they create the JOBS we need!!
