Watered Down Manufacturing

I was curious about what the Department of Manufacturing and Services was up to, so I went looking at the web site….here…   Mfg.

I remember well when Al Frink was the Undersecretary.  A small group of us met him in Washington while he was still going through hearings on his appointment.  We invited him to come and speak at the Rockford Chambers Annual Manufacturers Dinner/Expo in 2006.  He came and we had 650 attendees at the Expo and Dinner.

During his tenure, he had a focus on improving the well being of manufacturing.  A plan was developed called “Manufacturing in America, A Comprehensive Strategy to Address the Challenges to U.S. Manufacturers”  In it were numerous specific tasks that this office was pursuing to help the manufacturing community.

I wanted to get an update on this and when I finally found the web site, not only didn’t I see any reference to this plan, but I couldn’t even find out who held the job today.

Disappointing.  With all the wealth creation benefits of manufacturing, you would think the Feds would do all they could to promote this important sector of the economy.

Oh, yeah, I forgot.

They’re running the car companies!

The Obama Administration is too worried about the evil manufacturing companies emitting carbon dioxide. The Democrats and Obama in Congress are going to tax the heck out of our companies forcing more to have to move to China and other countries. Obama and the democrats are destroying U.S. Manufacturing.
