So is this what we are about to embark upon with the current push to put in a government health system? Looks like the Scots have simply given up and just accept bad service. One in Three experience bad service. Read on…  NHS

Did you even read this article before you linked to it and pulled out just one quote?
Here’s another quote from it: “The majority (69%) of people said they were satisfied with their experience of the NHS in Scotland, but 31% had encountered a problem.” Is that really a newsflash? Do you think if you polled U.S. residents about their health care, they’d say the same thing? Percentages would probably be lower.
Do you really think that the U.S. system is working well now? Nearly 50 million without insurance? That’s acceptable to you? You run a business, right? Who’s the bigger problem? Government or insurance companies?
I would trust the government with my health care before I trusted my insurance company. Insurance companies make money by DENYING people care. They are for-profit companies interested only in the bottom line, not in the health of those they cover.

I lived and worked in England earlier in my career. I was able to afford private health insurance which I was advised to get. Why? Because my English friends/colleagues said that the NHS did not provide good service, the better doctors didn’t want to stay in the government system being told what they could do and earn. My son needed surgery on his knee and fortunately we were able to get a good surgeon. I wouldn’t have dared to go to the NHS.
As an employee of a British company, I still had payroll deductions for NHS so effectively I paid twice.
My observations are based on my direct experience.
I do believe that all citizens should have health insurance, I just don’t think the government should be running a health system.
