Another idea…Open Mike for Entrepreneurs

1 comment August 30th, 2009

We are not the only town in the USA or world, for that matter, pondering how we can employ, educate, and find enjoyment for those that live here. Statistics tells us we have serious issues that keep our leaders up at night and grieve those of us who would like to help. Reality is here, answers are tough to find….money to pay for the answers seems no where to be seen! Time magazine has even had to write about our ailing US economy. I have been reading this publication weekly for years and can’t help but be surprised by the one page articles that keep appearing between the covers of their weekly magazine.   The August 3rd issue had a page called Ideas (we are all searching for those!) where they shared about Open-Mike Nights where entrepreneurs, not comedians, shared their ideas, successes, questions etc. and  got feed back from the audience. Being an entrepreneur can be lonely but this is may be a way to encourage entrepreneurship! Something the Eigerlab is suppose to do! If you want to see one in action go to time.com/openmike or check out a website called ideablob.com.

GM See Car Sales Up 20% in 2010

While still a long way from the pre-recession sales levels, a 20% market growth is still good news.  Hopefully this will cause the supply chain to start reinvesting in capital goods again.   SalesUp
