With China saving more than Americans, maybe they should start spending more so we can sell them more! Trade
Manufacturing 2.0
Rock River Valley manufacturing experts discuss the many facets of manufacturing: technology, education, training, events, people and any other aspects of this important segment of our economy. They’ll use this blog to get the word out and solicit feedback on local and global manufacturing. They hope to better engage our employers, employees and our future work force and increase their understanding of manufacturing. |

Since I posted this last night part 1 , I just heard an interview with the President who said, in response to the question about the economy and jobs, that he would consider tax breaks for business! Surely, he read my post!
I don’t think it’s fair to blame all businesses or manufacturers on the stupidity of a few who abose their office with excessive salaries and bonuses.
I do believe that small manufacturers could benefit from incentives to invest in equipment, in assisting their exports and anything that will raise demand for their products. That isthe sure-fired way to get more people back to work.

I watched ABC national news tonight and I saw two stories that re-inforced my conviction that we need to keep the government out of our hair. Even though these stories weren’t directly involved with manufacturing, they bode ill weel for what they are trying to do with other issues that will add cost to our sector.
The new mammogram standards, issued by a government task force, effectively vastly disapproved by patients and their doctors. The apparent outcry seemed overwhelming.
The second had to do with the inaccuracies of job creation due to the Recovery Act..the amount of errors would disqualify most manufacturers.
Let’s have less government over our lives. And, more help for manufacturers!
