As for me, by following the Oscars and writing about them, I don't see how I'm financially (or spiritually) supporting the studios over the writers. I read some blogs written by striking writers, and even they're talking about the Oscars. It's the big story in Hollywood at this time of year, no matter how you look at it. Hunt: I don't have anything to do with lining up the prizes, but if it's an autographed picture of me, I expect a BIG drop off in entries!
