When film critic Will Pfeifer isn’t watching movies, he’s reading about movies, talking about movies, thinking about movies or dreaming about movies. Now he shares that unhealthy obsession with you. From Hollywood hits to Japanese obscurities, from Oscar night to the summer season, he’s got movies on the brain — and on this blog.

You've got to hand Steven Spielberg, the script writers and the cast one, though. They took what is generally perceived to be a dull, mundane subject, Archeology, and really made it "cool" and interesting to some who may have never given it a second glance.

Also, these movies are generally fit for family viewing, with small caution on momentary scenes only. I like the fact that I will likely be able to view this movie with my children.

Sorry for rambling on.

This will be an interesting film. They really have a lot of work ahead of them to top Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (notice no mention of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, which I haven't seen, but have heard poor reviews about)).

I'm anxious to see it, and hope that they do a great job. I'm on the fence about the trailer. It could be good, but, really, the trailer represents so little of what the movie will be, and I didn't like some of what I saw in the trailer.

My expectation is high, especially with the multiple script re-writes, etc. I really have high expectation of this movie, and hope not to be disappointed.

They've also released images of the upcoming toy line, and there a re a few (potential) spoilers that can be deduced by viewing those, as well.

We'll see soon.

Hokumboy, you're right! I'm sure Harrison Ford could still take me in a fight, and you probably could, too.

Greg,

As someone who's a mere 5 years younger than Indy, I'd like to let you children know that just being 65 doesn't necessarily qualify one for the nursing home. We old guys still get around very well, thank you.

I love it. I'm ready for another Indy, it's been a fun ride and I'm sure one more with Harrison Ford at the helm won't derail the series.... I hope.

Movie - I am duly chastised. I was really in a backwards sort of way commenting on Mr. Ford's advanced age - i.e., what's a dude like him doing with a woman 22 years younger AND what the ... is he doing taking on the Indy role again after so many years?

It won't happen again. I promise, Movie. I promise!
