When film critic Will Pfeifer isn’t watching movies, he’s reading about movies, talking about movies, thinking about movies or dreaming about movies. Now he shares that unhealthy obsession with you. From Hollywood hits to Japanese obscurities, from Oscar night to the summer season, he’s got movies on the brain — and on this blog.

I absolutely agree with you about favorite moment number 1: I was realy irritated when Marketa Irglova didn't get a chance to speak, and I'm delighted that Jon Stewart brought her back. Whose idea was that, do you think? If it was his, and it seems like it might have been, kudos to Stewart for the classiest act of the night. For me it ranks right up there with the moment from a past year when the writer of the best song, which was from "Motorcycle Diaries," went up for his acceptance speech and all he did was sing a few lines the way it was supposed to have been sung rather than the way it had been butchered in the big number by Antonio Banderas and I-can't-remember-his-name-right-now. And I'm so glad that song won; what a sweet moment. Now if she'd just had her hair the way it had been in the movie, and the night before on Independent Spirit Awards.............
