Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker, plus the heavy violence performed by the Joker, had my son shaking, hiding his face in his hands, and in tears. A word of warning to parents. It is very dark, and the violence is grim, sadistic, and frightening. I made the mistake of taking my 10-year old son (yes, I know it is PG-13), without seeing it first.
