I love USED CARS. what a wonderfully wrong movie.

It’s a true comedy classic. It’s packed with great scenes, characters and lines of dialogue, and you’re right Mack, part of the reason it’s so funny is that it’s so wrong. Kurt Russell and Gerrit Graham are completely amoral, but we love them because they’re up against the even worse Roy Fuchs. (Jack Warden in a great twin performance.) I could watch this one again and again — and the commentary track with Russell, Bob Gale and Bob Zemeckis is almost as funny as the movie.

I was remiss in mentioning how good the rest of your list was as I was so happy to see USED CARS in its place. Also, A FACE IN THE CROWD is an amazing movie. It’s like watching the Bush presidency fifty years earlier, only with Lee Remick as a hot cheerleader.

Speaking of great films and blog spam…
I guess this would fit in both catagories, but I thought I’d let folks know that Criterion is running a sale ’til the 24th of Nov.
Everything in their catalogue is 40% off. That beats Amazon and Deep Discount
