In part of the nonstop hype machine that’s driving us toward the upcoming release of WATCHMEN, Entertainment Weekly has put a gallery of black-and-white portraits from WATCHMEN: THE PORTRAITS, a big ol’ coffee table book available now.

That’s Matt Frewer — you know, Max Headroom? — as Moloch the Mystic, a villain who plays a small part in the story. Check out the rest of ’em here.

Actress Illeana Douglas, who has had memorable roles in GOODFELLAS, TO DIE FOR, the TV show ACTION!, among others, shares some very funny tales of her career (and her relationship with Martin Scorsese) in a “Random Roles” interview over at the Onion AV Club.
Here, for example, is her first meeting with Robert De Niro, when GOODFELLAS was in the works:
Anyway, I went to Marty’s apartment—which was another funny experience. You know, we hadn’t started dating yet, and I’m like, “Is this a casting-couch situation?” [Laughs.] Because we were supposedly going to talk about this part, but I’d read this script, and there really wasn’t a part. So I got there, and Robert De Niro was there, and he was wearing these, like, Clark Kent glasses. I think that was the first time I’d really met him. So I said, “I didn’t know you wore glasses.” He goes [Whispers.] “It’s a disguise.” And I started laughing. I said, “You’re right. I can’t tell that you’re Robert De Niro at all.” He just kinda looked at me, and I realized, “Oh my God. He’s serious. He thinks it’s a disguise.”
