Natasha Richardson critically injured in skiing accident

According to the Associated Press (and based on other media reports), British actress Natasha Richardson is in critical condition in a Montreal hospital after being severely injured in a skiing accident in Quebec. The Tony award-winning actress and wife of Liam Neeson suffered a head injury Monday and is in a Montreal hospital.

Richardson, 45, is the elder daughter of Oscar-winning actress Vanessa Redgrave and the late director Tony Richardson. Her sister, Joely Richardson,  is also an actress, best known for the TV series NIP/TUCK.

Richardson’s films include GOTHIC, A MAN IN THE COUNTRY, NELL (in which she appeared with her future husband, actor Liam Neeson), THE PARENT TRAP and MAID IN MANHATTAN. She was recently seen on an episode of  Bravo’s TOP CHEF.

She married Neeson in 1994, and the couple has two sons.

I thought Sacha Baron Cohen’s BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN was one of the funniest movies of the last decade or so. It’s been no secret that for the past year or so he’s been filming another semi-fake-documentary, this one featuring his flamboyantly (to say the least) gay Austrian fashion designer, Bruno.

The first glimpse of the film was seen at the South By Southwest film fest earlier this week, and Eric D. Snider from Cinematical files this report. It sounds (a) very funny and (b) very lawsuit-provoking. I couldn’t ask for more.
