Via Boing Boing! and Mt. Holly Mayor’s Office, here’s a vintage Dogville short in which the canines fight The Great War.

Friday Morning Videos: FREAKS AND GEEKS opening

As the new movie from Seth Rogen, OBSERVE AND REPORT, opens today, I thought I’d flash back to the very first time any of us saw Mr. Rogen, namely in the opening credits sequence to the late, lamented TV series FREAKS AND GEEKS. The clip feels like a preview of today’s big stars — besides Rogen, there’s James Franco, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini (ER), John Francis Daley (BONES), Samm Levine (INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS), and Martin Starr (ADVENTURELAND).

Plus, it’s a great show — one of the best in TV history. It’s all available on a single boxed set. Check it out.
