Funny video. Kirk would have smelled the ambush and outmanuevered the Empire, though. He’d take the Emperor out with a “hasty” mortar cannon that he made from scraps (Gorn-Style)….
I have a good friend that sees very few movies at the theater (he just “waits them out” until they become available on Netflix). He almost never sees a movie in the theater. He’s already been back to Star Trek twice in its first week, and will likely be back again.
He says it is absolutely phenomenal, and a “must see” film that Star Trek Fans, Trekkies, or someone who knows virtually nothing about the Star Trek universe can enjoy.
I have to get to this one………..

Better than the prequels, but pretty much a rip-off of Episode IV: A New Hope:
Star Wars vs Star Trek
Still, this is by far the best Trek yet. Loved it. (Though I’m not as blown away by Quinto’s average performance as everyone else seems to be)
