Matt Zoller Seitz, who created a series of short films about the work of Wes Anderson not long ago, now turns his perceptive critical eye toward Michael Mann, director of PUBLIC ENEMIES (along with a lot of other movies). His latest pieces, “I’m Looking at You, Miss: The Women of Mann,” has just been posted here, and you can find links to the two previous installments at the same sight. And there are two more to come.
They’re well worth watching. Seitz has a real knack for taking a film apart to see what makes it work.
