Movie Man
When film critic Will Pfeifer isn’t watching movies, he’s reading about movies, talking about movies, thinking about movies or dreaming about movies. Now he shares that unhealthy obsession with you. From Hollywood hits to Japanese obscurities, from Oscar night to the summer season, he’s got movies on the brain — and on this blog.

He’s not happy. Not at all.

Ever since I watched clips from MAD MAX in the (excellent) Ozploitation documentary NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD*, I’ve been aching to see Mel Gibson return to a role where he straddles the line between sane and crazy (and no, his arrest for drunk driving doesn’t count). Well, it looks like I might get my wish…

Solid premise, strong cast, good director and the man who was Max getting mad. Could be good. And how about that last line?

* Check out my NOT QUITE HOLLYWOOD review here. Then rent it — it’s great!

Bad Boston accent aside, it does look like a good film. It’ll be nice to see Mel back in front of the camera again.

Yeah, that accent is a tad suspect. Remember when Mel had an Australian accent?
