For most of Wednesday and some of yesterday morning, I was going back and forth on the topic. I had feelings pulling me both ways. But the more I read and realize that I'm not the only one questioning it, the better I feel about not liking this proposition. Thank you for writing this.

Debbie,
I just checked the Web site, and it looks as though the students are swamped with orders. They're getting some help from NIU administrators in being able to provide more shirts, so please check back at niumemorialshirts.com in the next few days. Right now, they're only able to process pre-orders. They got many more orders than they expected!

When the Web site goes back up, you should be able to order with PayPal or a credit card.

Debbie,
According to the students handling the Web site, you can pick up your shirt if you already ordered one. They just won't be taking any new orders until they're certain they can handle the volume of requests coming in. They'll be updating the Web site with the pickup location, and I'll try to post it here when they announce it.

Sorry about the confusion. I'm not one of the students running the site or taking orders. I'm just getting the word out there for the students who started the site.

As far as I know, the site will be operating normally again once they have enough shirts to fill orders. Again, if you've already ordered, there's no need to re-order. You can pick up your shirt at the NIU campus. The students running the Web site will be posting soon to let people know the specific pickup location.

Thanks!

Please let me know if I need to reorder. I realize I may need to reorder
in a few days. Thank you.

So sorry to hear of the tragedy at NIU. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Not just the families---it affects the who community. Almost everyone you know in this area knows a student or someone that works at NIU. I would like to order 4 of the t-shirts. Please let me know how to pay for them and get the shirts. Debbie from Dr. Michalsen's office in Kirkland

I heart you Jeneice...you know the league loves you and is so glad you are safe and sound...being an NIU alumn myself and having history as an adjunct instructor I feel for the whole NIU community...words cannot describe...and I wasn't even close to the events of that day. I can't imagine the emotions that are brewing.
