So the dress is finally here. Thank goodness. I almost freaked out. But thats beside the point, I didn’t ask my boyfriend to prom in a fancy way, lets face it I’m just to lazy for that. But he is going with me, He’s going to buy his tux on Thursday or Friday. He looked up the color he wanted online, seriously who does that? How would he ever know if the color actually matched. Sometimes he’s a little odd if you ask me. I love him anyways. Then he left the little piece of my dress on my coffee table, so he really wouldn’t know if the tux matched or not. He had to come back the next day and get it. I sure hope he gets the right color.

As us prom goers count down the final remaining days until our ‘big day’, we still think about the finsihing plans left to be done. Pictures as an example. Where should we take them at? Living in Belvidere, we’ve always just taken pictures at the Belvidere Park… But that’s where everyone gets them done it seems like. So this year, i’m thinking that maybe Sinnissippi Park would be a good idea. Though I’ve never been to that park, I’ve heard all good things. Keeping in mind that “pictures can be remembered for a lifetime” why not make our senior prom a memorable one starting from minute one … the pictures!

Two weekds before prom, and i’m trying to think about when i should get my tux. Hopefully going this weekend. Haven’t decided where in the area I should go? Any ideas? Though about the mall… They’ve usually been pretty good about getting things for me. As anyone realized what it takes to get one? Ha. It seems that the girls get all the attention for “the perfect dress!”, but the guys have quite a bit of work as well.. we have to match the color. tie or bow? type of schoes? White or black suit? pin stripes or no pinstripes? All the questions that have to be answered!!! Makes for an “interesting” time!!!!
 We’ll see. I’ll get a picture of my tux when i get one!

I wonder if anyone else is having as much trouble with their prom dress as I am. My mom called the place that I got my dress last night and the woman basically said they didn’t know where it was. Now she is on the phone with her and she’s saying that it won’t come in until next week. Thats two weeks before prom. There is no way I’m going to be able to get it fitted on time. I’m so angry with that place right now. But on a lighter note I’m excited that prom is only three weeks away!

Big Group? Or small group? Usually teens like to go with all of their friends to prom, but should there be a limit to the group size? I think that keeping the group smaller keeps everybody closer to have a better time than to have a large group and trying to make sure that everyone is happy and no one is getting the feeling of being left out. I thought about this after my date told me that we would be going with atleast 13 people. “Woah!” Maybe I’m wrong, but i think that groups should be of at most six or seven. Just my ideas though!

With all these thoughts about prom, and looking around google for extra ideas. I camealong to this picture… I could help but to think to myself how unbelievably random it was to find a “prom dog” on google.com I guess that anything could happen though!! Prom! Pfff… No big deal right?!
Are you kidding?! This is the main high school event for many of us teenagers. Once its here, that is. before hand though, there is quite a bit of planning. Some on the girls, but also for us guys! First and foremost, the date. Who do we want to an entire night with? Pick carefully. It has to be someone that you’ll for sure have fun with. I’ve done a lot of thinking about how i was going to do the asking. I had creative ideas, and then not so much. For example, last year ( i was a junior) i decided that i was going to ask my date on her birthday. So i planned everything out, balloons, window paint, signs… the whole thing! Than her birthday came I had to act like i knew nothing about anything. But basically, I left my lunch period and took the keys to her car and began my “work of art” I put balloons around her car and wrote Prom?! on the back window. Not so bad eh?! This year though, was a different story, I was running out of time.. I needed a date. So I took my lady friend and asked.. Nonchalantly and asked her to go to prom.. I got the “yes” that i needed to hear. Good thing this whole planning will get easier!!

So here I am talking about not having my prom dress and I technically don’t even have a date yet! Yes, I have a boyfriend and we both assume that we are just going together, but I haven’t actually asked him to go with, yet. I want to think of a creative way to ask him, like you see in all those reality t.v shows. The problem is I’m not that creative. some of the ideas that I have are kind are cute, but they have been done before. Maybe I just won’t ask him like that.

Prom. Yikes! It’s a month away already? My dress hasn’t even come in yet. It was suppose to be here four weeks ago, I’m a little worried it won’t be here in time for me to get it fitted. How come prom this year is so much harder to plan than it was last year? Who knows. Maybe it will get easier.
