I’ve been a cheerleader for three years. I was captain my junior year. I’ve been on the staff of my newspaper for four years. I was the design editor last year and this year I am editor-in-chief. I kind of always knew I would be a journalist, well at least after I gave up on being a lawyer. I’ll graduate from East High School this year. I plan on going to Rock Valley College next year, then I hope to transfer somewhere like Arizona State or this little college in the middle of no where called Greenville.

Originally from Seattle, Washington my family and I moved to Illinois in 2002, first to a small town, Pearl City, and now to Belvidere. I am the middle of four siblings — one older and two younger. I am a senior at Belvidere North High School and the editor-in-chief of the high school paper The North View. After graduating in May, I will be moving to Mississippi and will be attending the University of Mississippi-Oxford (Ole Miss).
