Found the cover below tonight on several Packer blogs, including this post on JSOnline.com.

Totally sweet. Another SI cover for Brett Favre, slated to hit newsstands Wednesday.

Here’s the one that published in December.

Say it ain’t so, Rudy

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was caught on video Monday refusing to sign a Green Bay Packer fan’s hat. Giuliani, a Giants fan, is seeking the Republican nomination for president.

Bad luck, Rudy? Come on. Don’t you know lots of Packer fans are registered voters?

Here’s what the New York Times is saying about the decades-old Packers-Giants rivalry.

It’s been since 1962 the two teams have met in the playoffs.

Read to the end for former Giants quarterback Y.A. Tittle’s quote.

We’ll see, Y.A. We’ll see.

I heart Brett Favre

I might as well get it out now. I love Brett Favre. He’s fun to watch. He’s funny. And he’s a class act. I’m not the only one who has a Brett obsession. Just go to YouTube and search “Brett Favre” and you’ll see what I mean. Here’s one of my favorites.

Introduction

Welcome to Pack Smack, rrstar.com’s blog about the Green Bay Packers, the surprise team of the year. We had a brainstorming meeting Monday about how we would cover the team as it prepares to face the New York Giants in the NFC Championship game Sunday.

This blog is just one part of our coverage. Reed Schreck, our NFL writer, will blog. I (Anna Voelker, assistant managing editor for online and huge Packer fan) will blog. We’ll reported information here, and we’ll have some clearly biased stuff here. (Hey, I did say I was a fan.) We’ve also asked Thomas Bona, a business reporter and Giants fan, to blog with us Sunday during the game. That should be fun.

Our goal with Pack Smack is to have fun, entertain, give you behind-the-scenes stuff (Reed will be in Green Bay starting Wednesday) and engage you in good conversation. We even invite the Packer haters to share their thoughts here. Just keep your comments clean.

Itchin’ to get going

Heading off to Green Bay for two days Wednesday morning. Miami would be nicer, of course — or Glendale, Ariz. Maybe in another week or so…

There will be plenty of media availability with coaches and players the next two days. We’ll blog some of the comments that jump out at you, and add some observations about how the Packers are dealing with preparing for another big game.
