Rockford Public Works Department will remove a storm-damaged tree Thursday from South Sixth Street.
During the removal, the left lane of South Sixth Street between 19th and 20th avenues will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. The lane is expected to open back up by 3 p.m. Thursday.
Traffic flow will be affected, and motorists are urged to use an alternate route if possible. Motorists who use this route are asked to exercise extreme caution.
