In response to the pending strike by District 205 teachers, the Rockford College Learning Center (RCLC) will offer an academic program for students in grades K-6.
The RCLC is a service offering academic support to members of the community. Since being established in 1952, the Center has provided remedial and enrichment programs for more than 30,000 people from ages 4-72. The RCLC emphasizes quality teaching with a strong commitment to aid each student in attaining academic potential while directing the student towards independent learning and improved personal achievement.
Details of the elementary age program are as follows:
Location: Bethesda Covenant Church, 2101 East State Street
Grades: K-6th grade
Time: 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m
Students need to pack their own lunch/snacks.
Tuition: $20 per day per student.
Registration is required.
The following subject areas will be incorporated over several days: Poetry, Writing, Spelling, Math, Reading, Science, Art
