Reggie the Regent says “ROAR!” Regents Off and Running: Registration at Rockford College. ROAR days are a unique experience Rockford College offers new undergraduate students. By registering on campus, new undergraduate students receive a personalized meeting with academic advisors. Advisors are there to meet students and personally guide them through the registration process. Academic advisors at RC do more than just help select classes. They are also there throughout students’ time at the college to help with adjusting to life on campus, serve as a confidant, and help ensure students’ academic success.
ROAR events provide opportunities to make vital connections that help students succeed and thrive during their time at Rockford College, and beyond. For example, financial aid experts are on hand to answer questions and guide students through the important financial aid process. Students also get the chance to meet with a member of Career Services. Career Services provide vital resources to students for internship opportunities; resume building, interview skills, and finding a position after college. Faculty members are on hand to answer questions along with representatives from a variety of departments and services throughout the college.
Making the decision to attend college and all of the many things that must be done to make it to your first class can be overwhelming for many new students and their families. Rockford College’s expert staff and faculty know exactly what to do to make this transition successful. It is our priority to always have someone to help; from taking the first tour, to admission, to registration, help with tutoring, or help in navigating the adjustment from high school to college life. Contact us to learn more about what it means to be a REGENT. Our next ROAR date is May 19, 2012. In order to get signed up for this one of a kind experience, contact our admissions office at 815-226-4050.
