Construction sites go back to teaching & learning sites Monday

Students will return to school Monday – the first day back in Rockford Public Schools – and several schools are ongoing construction sites. Additions are in the works to expand Conklin, Johnson, Lathrop, McIntosh, Spring Creek and Froberg elementary schools. Those schools’ additions are expected to be finished in December.

At Auburn High School, construction is just beginning on a 100,000 square-foot field house that will contain physical education stations, eight new classrooms, a 200-meter track, basketball and volleyball courts, plus multipurpose space for academic and athletic programs.
