Celebrate the opening of the Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math

The public is invited to an open house to celebrate the opening of the Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math on the main campus of Rock Valley College.

The event will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in the ground floor lobby of the new facility. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m.

Dr. Jacobs served as president of Rock Valley College from 1969 – 1997. During his tenure multiple academic programs and building projects were formed to serve the region. Highly respected by local leaders, Dr. Jacobs sought to meet community needs through academic and career programs at Rock Valley College.

Fall semester classes begin on Saturday, August 20, with weekday classes beginning on Monday, August 22. Classes will be held in the new Jacobs Center for Science and Math.
