I remember when they manipulated the dams here and in Rockton one year for the river clean up. The natural channel thorugh downtown was quite small. Maybe if the dams were out in a few years the silt wold be swept downstream and there would be a smaller, maybe deeper, natural channel. Maybe the next improvement for downtown would be to divert a portion of the river down a channel where Main Street is so we could have a canal like Venice.
